One of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's finest works. Quite a unique space and curatorial challenge, as the upper level is a rectangular slab with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Could be most wonderful place if the staff didn't start to push us out like silent police dogs 15 minutes before the closing time, shop and cafe allready closed and no possibility of using wc.

SHAME: closing time was 6 pm. They started closing rooms at 5.45 and the bookshop was already closed even if it shouldn't. So un-professional for a National gallery. My compliments to german rigidity.
